Wow another week gone, I cant believe it! This week was super fun... Well they're all super fun but this one was extra super fun! We got to go to a baptism on Monday night it was awesome. I hadn't realized how long it has been since I have been to a baptism. Probably a couple of years. I cant wait until it is one of my investigators that is the one down in the water!

On thursday we had zone conference. It was in Weatherford which is like an hour and a half away and it took all day. It was great though I loved it! It is so fun to get with a bunch of missionaries. I really learned a lot. Oh we set a baptisimal date with this girl on monday! But I think we are going to have to push it back because she is not ready. She is only twelve. Her name is Korrine. We went to visit a less active from our ward and she is best friends with her so she is always there. So we taught her a super awesome lesson and committed her to baptism. She is reading the stuff we are leaving her and she says she is praying. I think we just have to help her recognize the answer she gets. Hopefully she will stick with it. We need to get some of the beehives to start fellowshipping her.

Saturday was really fun. There is a set of Elders in the appartment behind us and one of them was sick so his companion Elder Stanworth was going crazy sitting in the appartment for days so Elder Daley volunteered to stay with him for the day. So Elder Stanworth and I went out. We both came out at the same time so neither of us are super fantastic teachers. We went tracting and we were just ready to baptize the world! On the first street we got 3 return appointments and gave out 2 books of mormon! It was awesome. After a while we ran out of Books of Mormon and pamphlets. We prayed with like 20 people even though they weren't interested it was great :)

I think missionary work is all about the attitude. If you go into it thinking you are going to be successful you will be. It is important that you have goals though. That is why we spend every thursday planning our next week and setting goals. We must put the effort in to acheive those goals though. President Monson said "Vision without effort is just daydreaming, and effort without vision is drudgery. But when vision is combined with effort that is when we obtain the prize." So everyone that is what I want you to do. Make a missionary goal and a plan of how you are going to achieve it then ask for the Lord's help. Then DO IT!!!!! Nothing will bring you more happiness :) Good luck :)

to me
Hey I saw some deer this week too! The deer here are tiny they look dogs with longer legs.

Hah thats too bad you didn't fall off the tube that is the best part :)

The missionary work is a little slow right now. We had to pass off like 3 of our investigators because they are YSA and then two others moved out of our area. We did get four less actives to church yesterday though! We were pretty excited about that.

Elder Stanworth and I went out tracting on Saturday and we got like 5 return appointments so hopefully some of them will turn into investigators!

It was super nice this week. I don't think it got into triple digits at all.

The scripture memorizing is still going well :) I memorize three or four a day. The hardest part now is finding good ones to memorize.

I bought a new camera today so now I can start taking some decent pictures.

How is the school doing? Have you gotten any more kids?

Well good luck with the boat, I will pray for you haha :)

Dear Sam

Friday I took some of the boys from the school up to Zion to hike the narrows. We seen a bunch of deer and a couple of bucks. They are real scraggly looking. I think they have interbred so much they are not real healthy. On of the bucks was waking up the narrows with everyone else. That was kind of cool. Finally to many people gathered around him and he climbed up on a hill to get away. I haven't really went up into the Narrows to much other than when we did the repel down Mystery Canyon, but it is pretty neat up in there.

On Tuesday Troy Gubler took his boat out to the lake (Quail) and pulled all the boys around on a big round tube that carried 4. It was a riot. I never got thrown off, but several of the boys did.

We did our missionary work this week by taking Tarri the school teacher to the temple to do baptisms and confirmations. She hasn't been a member log enough yet to go in the regular part, but she loves the temple. I think she is trying hard to be a good member. It seems like Cedar has a little loser standard, kind of like Camp Verde or Cornville. I guess they will be judged by their knowledge right?

How is the missionary work coming? Are you learning a lot? I am glad to see you are memorizing scriptures. That is a good practice. I did that a bunch when I was on my mission. I probably had 150 to 200 scriptures that I memorized while I was out. Memorized a bunch of poems too.

You are lucky you are in Texas, it is brutally hot here. I can't hardly stand it. I go to the store just to cool off. We cleaned out one of the storage units because Bevin and Dale sold them back to the Stratton's and so we don't get free rent any more. We moved most of the stuff over to the house and shed behind us. It was so hot, I was sweating like a stuck pig.

I have really been working on the boat. Found a motor on ebay for $400 dollars that has the bottom parts we lost. I also stripped the entire boat out this week to put new wood and carpet in it. I should have priced things before I started, everything on a boat is expensive. One of Tanners friends that came to dinner with him last week was telling me that boat really stands for "Break Out Another Thousand". After pricing the parts, I may agree with her.

This week in the Book of Mormon I am reading about Alma the younger's counsel to his son's. Great promises as missionaries to them if they were obedient. I know the world is hardening to spiritual things, but as you grow and grow closer to Father in Heaven you will see success and bring souls into the gospel. You will grow personally closer to your Heavenly Father. Do spend to much time searching the mysteries, but focus on the plain and simple truths of the gospel. As you study fast and pray your faith will grow and you will teach with greater power. Remember the story of Ammon and Lamoni. He prepared himself spiritually, served faithfully and had great success because of his service.

We pray for your protection and success and know Heavenly Father is watching over you.

Have a great week.

Love Dad.
