Hey everything has been going pretty great here! I'm still loving Texas. Everyone here calls it God's country hah. I got to go on exchange this week with the zone leaders that was pretty fun. I went to Denton 3rd with Elder Bunn and Elder Milligan came here with Elder Daley. That was on Tuesday so I got to go to the other district's district meeting then on wednesday I got to go to ours. Extra spriritual enlightenment this week :) The other District's district leader did a really good example in his meeting. He started like 5 minutes late and didn't have like anything prepared like who was going to pray and what we were going to sing. Then after we sung and prayed he was like hmmm well I guess we can recite our purpose or something. I was super confused and it was really awkward, I just thought he was a terrible district leader haha then he asked us what the last 15 minutes felt like. He said that is what an investigator feels like when we come to a lesson unprepared. Dang I see why it is so important to be prepared now!
While I was gone Elder Daley and Elder Milligan set a baptisimal date with this guy! His name is Tony and he is Phillipino. He has great faith and is willing to pray to find out the truth and is willing to act on the answer he receives! So everyone pray that he recognizes the answer he gets!
We helped people move all morning on Saturday it was so fun :) We went to this nonmembers apartment at 8 to help them move. It was just this lady her husband and their two little daughters and they were on the third floor. We only had an hour to help them because we had already told someone else we would help them move at nine so I was running up and down those stairs! Literally :) I tried to get Elder Daley to run with me but he just said I was crazy :) I told him we get paid blessings by the job not by the hour hah We got picked up at nine and went to help this other family move. They had a lot more help but there was a ton of stuff! We finished that at like 11 then went back to the other people and finished helping them. It was awesome! The Lord was definitely giving me strength because there was no way I could run up three flights of stairs for two hours otherwise :)
We had a really good testimony meeting yesterday. This little girl gave the best testimony ever! She was probably like 4 and she got up and her eyes got really big and all she could get out was "I know this church is true" then she got too nervous and went and sat down. Wow, imagine if everyone had the testimony of this little girl. The world would probably be a near perfect place. I know like that little girl that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is Christ's true church upon the earth today and if we keep the commandments of Jesus Christ and strive everyday to become more like Him we will find more happinesss than we ever thought possible! This gospel makes me so happy, being a missionary makes me so happy! I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and that by reading it we can find the answer to any question we could ever have in this life.
Don't forget to do your missionary work and bring this happiness to your friends and family! Remember "the field IS white already to harvest." You gain true happiness by sharing the gospel so why wait? I don't know of a single person that couldn't use more happiness in life :) The church is true :)

It's definitely not cooling off yet! I guess they had the coolest July on record last month so that was nice. It still didn't feel very cool. I is supposed to be over 100 everyday this week so that should be fun!
You guys will have to send me my little tackle boxes because we met this guy named Justin Lester and he has a pond right next to his house that he said has a bunch of bass in it and we can come fish it anytime :)
There are a lot of cowboy fans here but there are a lot more ranger fans! I guess arlington is pretty close to here. Things are still going good here just trying to be a better missionary than I was yesterday!
Sorry about not sending pictures my camera takes fuzzy pictures unless you hold it really still which I usually don't have time to do so I don't take very many pictures. Well sounds like all is going well down there. Don't have too much fun without me :) Oh and by the way did grandma J ever get my letter?
Love,

Dad Letter to Sam
Not to much went on this week, just work and church stuff.
Probably the best day was Friday. We took one of the boys over to St George to catch the shuttle to Las Vegas. Beau. He is going home for a week visit. We also sent Fernando home. He was getting to be a real pain and not trying to do the program. We could not see any reason for him to stay. He thought he was going home for a week visit, but right before he left we told him he was not coming back. Hope he does well, but it will depend on what friends he hooks up with.
After dropping Beau off we went to the temple. I don't know if you have heard the announcement but they have made changes. After the temple we went shopping for the school at Costco. I was starving so I was looking forward to all the samples they serve there. As it turned out they were only doing salads and yogurt. Not to filling so we went to Panda express after and had orange chicken. That was good.
Friday evening Mike, our horse guy, his daughter got married and we went to the reception. We took Grandma Johnson along. We seen a huge buck run across the road in front of us still in the velvet, You mom was slow on the camera so we have no pictures to show. Sort of like that world class elk that you tried to get a picture of and it was black. We also seen a doe with two fawn's right off the road grazing. the fawns still had spots. We seen about 100 wild turkeys. I'm ready to move to Enterprise, it is a really wild life bonanza.
Yesterday we spent most of the day cleaning out the shed behind the house. You should see it. Pretty amazing how it looks. Now we have to get all our stuff out of the storage unit, so it will be full again.
So, I guess it is pretty hot and humid there. Is it cooling down yet? Is everyone Cowboy fans there? The should be getting going pretty soon. BYU football starts in less than a month.
We had a real nice testimony meeting today, your mom even got up and bore her testimony. Short and sweet as they say.
We were reading that a missionary got killed somewhere last week. It was a freak accident. I guess they pulled over to let a car pass and they were on an embankment and the truck rolled over. There were like 10 missionaries in the vehicle and he was the only one killed.
Tanner came for dinner and says he is going to church. Keep hoping he will really feel the spirit and have a desire to serve. Make sure you encourage him and share the positives with him.
Well that is about all I can think of for now.
Take care. We love and pray for you each day.
Love Dad.
PS. SEND SOME PICTURES!!!!!
